Regional overview

Since 2014, ALPLA has built a strong and growing presence across Africa, the Middle East & Türkiye (AMET). Starting with its first production facility in South Africa and the integration of existing sites in Saudi Arabia and Türkiye, the region has expanded into EgyptMauritius, the UAEAngola and Morocco

Manufacturing Scale and Technology Expertise

Today, ALPLA operates 20 production facilities, including four in-house operations, across nine countries. This footprint is supported by a machine park of more than 304 advanced machines, covering a broad range of Injection Molding (IM), Extrusion Blow Molding (EBM), Stretch Blow Molding (SBM), Injection Stretch Blow Molding (ISBM), Sheet Extrusion, Thermoforming, Pallets, and Venting, as well as specialized IM-PET and IM-Caps capabilities, enabling flexible and efficient packaging production across the region.

ALPLA delivers innovative and increasingly sustainable packaging solutions for key industries including Pharmaceuticals, Agrochemicals, Beverages, Food, Milk & Dairy, Beauty Care, Home Care, and Oil & Lubricants. Customers across the AMET region rely on ALPLA’s expertise to meet evolving consumer expectations for safe, affordable and high-quality packaging that supports everyday life.

Sustainability, circularity and people

ALPLA’s long-term commitment to the AMET region is reflected in targeted investments in circular economy solutions and local capability building. A state-of-the-art recycling facility in Ballito, South Africa, commissioned in late 2024, can process up to 35,000 tonnes of food-grade rPET annually. This is complemented by the region’s first Apprenticeship & Training Centre, strengthening skills development and local talent.
