Caribbean

Regional Overview

ALPLA entered the Caribbean market in 1976 with the opening of its first production facility in Guayama, Puerto Rico. The plant started making bottles in Extrusion Blow Moulding and Injection Moulding for a multinational personal care company among other local customers. In 2005 the operation expanded to the Dominican Republic where later ALPLA acquired the business of a local packaging manufacturer, consolidating its position as a major player in the plastic packaging industry in the Dominican Republic.

What does ALPLA Caribe offer?

In the Caribbean region, ALPLA offers a wide range of generic packaging solutions as well as custom bottles and closures for the food, personal care, home care, oil & lubricants, automotive supplies and industrial markets. The offered range includes bottles and containers from 60ml to 230 litres; buckets and crates including decoration and assembling, PET-preforms and closures.

Conscious of the market and industrial changes in the region, ALPLA Caribe is now entering non-traditional segments such as industrial containers, durable goods such as pails and plastic parts for the manufacturing industry.
