THE DUTCH PLANTS
The plant in Mijdrecht is the oldest ALPLA plant, built in 1985. It is a so-called base plant, i.e. we use it as a base to manufacture for a wide range of customers. Our Mijdrecht facility currently has a workforce of around 60 in production, logistics, engineering and administration. Our production team works in three shifts.
Our Hoensbroek facility was built in 2010 and is a so-called in-house plant, which means that our production space can be found on the customer’s premises. Our products go straight to the customer’s filling machines via direct lines. This gives us direct daily contact with the customer, while saving on transport and reducing our carbon emissions.
The Hoensbroek plant currently has a workforce of around 25 in production, engineering, planning and administration. Our production team works in three shifts.
This plant, built in 2014, is another in-house facility and serves a fruit juice manufacturer. It currently has a workforce of around 20 in production, engineering and administration. Here, too, our production team works in three shifts.
Zwolle is our newest plant. Everyone is working hard on the development of this base plant. Its workforce of around 20 are currently being trained, so that production should start quite soon.
We are expecting its workforce to grow to around 50 or 60 by 2022.
Our production team will work in five shifts.
